Hardwood Installation Tips

Before installation, our staff will visit your home to ensure we have the proper measurements for your project. Once installation is scheduled, your room will need to be cleared of furniture & other items. Existing flooring may also need to be removed.

During installation, you'll experience some noise and dust, and won't have access to the rooms being worked on for the most part. Keep small children and pets away from the area while your crew is working.

After installation, we'll clean up our workspace. You may need to air our your space to eliminate the "new floor smell." At this point, any issues you notice should be reported to Flooring 101 right away so we can tackle them appropriately!

Hardwood Care & Maintenance Tips

Use mats or area rugs – Place doormats both outside and inside entryways to trap dirt and moisture before it’s tracked into the home. Remember to clean mats regularly too.

Rotate furniture – Occasionally move your furniture to change foot traffic patterns and indentations. In additional, use flooring protectors under the legs of tables, chairs and couches to lessen the weight distribution.
